but rest assured it is NOT me. I'm working on locating and
stopping him/her.

* This one shocked me. Some people have asked me
how
I became an "overnight success."
Overnight? I've been listening to Nightingale-Conant
audiotapes for more than 20 years. When I was working for
Exxon and driving back and forth in Houston traffic, I listened to
self-improvement tapes, marketing tapes, and more right there
in my car. It was a university-on-wheels.
Many weekends I attended seminars to expand my mind.
I often went on week-long retreats. I also contacted numerous
authors, speakers, marketing gurus, self-help mentors, and more,
and interviewed them. On top of that, I worked with Jonathan
(the key figure in my "Spiritual Marketing" book) on a weekly
basis for ten years to help me release internal blocks to success.
And throughout it all I read and read and read, sometimes five
books every week.
Throughout that entire period I struggled, took
jobs I hated,
cried as I drove to work, nearly went bankrupt twice, faced
incredible fears as I quit work and tried my hand at being
self-employed (which I failed at the first time out) and more.
There was no one night when things shifted for me.
MANY
things had to happen, MANY people had to help me, and
MANY years had to go by before I achieved anything that
you might call a success.
I'm still learning and growing, today, only with
much more
ease. I still listen to tapes as I drive. I still attend seminars.
I still read many books. I still work with mentors and coaches.
So how can you, too, become an "overnight success"?
Read, study, learn, grow. And be very, very patient.

* Here's a new way to solve problems. I call it "Biblio-
Creativity." I explained it for the first time in New Orleans
just a few weeks ago. Here's how it works:
Write down a problem. Something you want an answer
to right now. Anything will do.
Now grab a book. Any book. Open it to any page.
Let
your finger run down the page and stop wherever you like.
Finally, read the passage you found and allow it
to answer
your problem.
In short, what you are doing is forcing your mind
to find
new answers in apparently unlikely places. "Biblio-Creativity"
is a way to open new doors in your mind. You can increase
your perceptions and see new connections with this simple
technique.
Again, any book will do. What you are doing is treating
the passage you find as THE answer. MAKE it answer
your question or solve your problem. Consider this a type
of dream interpretation method and see what you discover.
My New Orleans audience loved the method.
Try it and see what occurs for you!

* A friend of mine complained that there is just
too much
information on the Internet. He said, "I feel like I'm standing
in the middle of the biggest library on earth. I don't know
what to read first!"
He's not alone. The other day I received an email
from
a woman who complained that there are too many e-books
available on how to do things. "I can't read them all, and I
can't weed out the junk to find the good stuff. Help!"
From time to time someone will write and ask me
how
*I* manage to handle the information overload that drowns
most of us. I thought about it for a while and think I know
the answer:
I set intentions.
In other words, I set goals, outcomes, or intentions
for
what I want. As a result of that clearly defined end result,
a naturally occurring pruning process takes place: Everything
that is relevant to my goal sticks; Everything that is unimportant
to it drops away.
For example, when I was writing my latest e-book,
"Hypnotic
Marketing," I was consciously as well as unconsciously on the
alert for anything and everything that pertained to the three-step
marketing formula I describe in the book: Direct-Response
Publicity, Hypnotic Websites, and Hypnotic Writing. Anything
else rarely got my attention.
Each day when I checked my email box and saw several
hundred messages, I was able to move through them quickly
by asking myself, "Does this pertain to my writing Hypnotic
Marketing?" If it did, I read it. If it didn't, I pushed it aside
or
deleted it.
And that exact same process helps me get through
all the information available on the Net. While there may
be millions of websites online, maybe only a handful of them
are of interest to me when I'm focused on Hypnotic Marketing.
Those handful are all I want to know about, at least for now.
So there's the key to handling information overload:
Set an intention. A goal. A clear outcome. An end-result.
And let it be your guiding light through the maze of information
flooding your mind and fighting for your attention.
By knowing what you want, you create a natural filtering
process that eliminates virtually everything not related to
achieving your intention.
To be honest, you may still be distracted from time
to time.
That's human nature. Forgive yourself, enjoy yourself, and get
back on track. The more you can stick with your goals, the more
you can survive the blessing and the curse of the Internet:
Information Overload.
* Kevin Hogan just released a new book that you MUST
get:
"Selling Yourself to Others: The New Psychology of Sales."
The first time I read it I got chills up my spine. It contains
some of the most powerful stuff I've EVER seen on selling,
persuading, and motivating people.
Kevin has taken "Covert Hypnosis" (a book
of his I love) and
turned it into a sales person's dream in "Selling Yourself to
Others."
Taking the best parts of Covert Hypnosis and then adding in cutting
edge technology from NLP and current behavioral genetics, he has
created a selling model that is unparalleled by anything on the market.
If you already have Covert Hypnosis, this book is
STILL 50% brand
new, and if you don't have it, you may want to get both. See details

* FREE: One of my favorite old (1909) self-help books
is called
"The Ideal Made Real" by Christian D. Larson. The author
wrote
the famous "Optimist Creed" (which you'll find in the back
of my
new book, "Hypnotic Marketing"). Larson wrote this in the
foreword
to his book:
"The purpose of this work is to present
practical methods through
which anyone, the beginner in particular, may realize his ideals,
cause
his cherished dreams to come true, and cause the visions of the soul
to become tangible realities in everyday life."

* Finally, if someone triggers anger, fear, rage,
hate, vengeance,

them off the hook, but by changing the pain producing reality in your
own mind. How? One beautiful, effective, and free resource is here:

the less our lives will truly change."
