"Are all these ebooks and Web sites making money for these people,
and more importantly, HOW MUCH? Also, I write books mainly for prestige
and as a marketing promotion to attract the large corporate clients
that are my bread and butter. Does an ebook have the same cache as

The short answer is that published books give lots of credibility
but little cash, while e-books give no credibility and lots of cash.

I have ten books in print. The books themselves bring me little
income, but, like Bob, I leverage them to bring in high paying clients.
I also have a best-selling tapeset with Nightingale-Conant. The royalties
are little, but the clients I get as a result of being the author
of that program are great.

I have several e-books out there. "Hypnotic Writing" and "Advanced
Hypnotic Writing" brought me maybe two new clients, but the sales
for those works have brought me tens of thousands of dollars. I made
$35,000 in less than 6 weeks from the sales of my first e-book. Last
year alone I made well over $40,000 from just *one* e-book.

A few months ago I sold $5,000 worth of someone else's e-book in only one
month. An associate of mine has paid for a new home, a new car, and
put a child through college all from just *one* e-book. I just put
a new e-book-let of mine online and it began selling before I told
anyone about it! And of course, with my e-books and e-classes, I've
managed to pay for not one but two homes, including this Hill Country
estate I now live on, as well as two cars, including my much ballyhooed
Z3.

If you pay any attention to the news, you'll think e-books won't
sell. Surveys tend to show that buyers aren't ready for e-books. Well,
baloney. I know people making more than one hundred grand every year
from one or two e-books. And I'm living proof that e-books and e-classes
are not only cool products, but profitable ones, too.

Some people are even starting to complain when a book isn't available
as an ebook. They want instant gratification. For that reason, my
new "Spiritual Marketing" book is available as a hardcover, paperback,
AND as an e-book. The hardcover sells poorly but the softcover and
e-bookversions are selling swiftly. I'll soon be turning *all* of
my works into downloadable e-products. It's passive income. I don't
print, stock, or ship anything. Talk about heaven. I love it! (And
I mean LOVE it!)

Again, published works give credibility and e-books bring cash.
My advice is to do both. Get published for the prestige and create
e-books for the profit. It's the best of both worlds, and the new
trend for the coming years.

I heard some buzz about the new free traffic building system called
StartBlaze created by Mark Joyner of Aesop.com and decided to test
it out. Mark and his guys are always releasing *something* over there,
but this one is unique - and breathtakingly cool.

I could probably fill up volumes with all the cool features, but rather
than waste your time, I thought I'd just give you the URL so you could

Listen, this thing is so easy, and so effective that you would be
certifiably insane not to use this immediately.
I mean that.

Bottom Line: This is probably the most effective traffic building
system I have ever encountered. I just hope it stays free... You
should get it now while it still is.

* On my recent trip to New York City, I got to have an historic
3-hour dinner with Bob Bly. I felt like a little kid sitting down
with his super hero. Bob told me he writes, on average, 12 hours a
day, 5 days a week. He lives for writing, loves it, and produces an
amazing amount of sales copy and books as a result. His model is Asimov,
who of course wrote 400 (four hundred!) books before he died. In the
presence of Bob, I felt like I've accomplished nothing. I strongly
encourage you to get his books. His latest will teach you how to grab

* Another wonderful evening for me in NYC was finally meeting Mark
Levy, magician, author, and New York Times book reviewer. Mark is
a genius at coming up with ideas for people. Nerissa and I sharing
time with Mark, and even having him perform some amazing magic for
us after dinner, was a major treat. I urge you to get Mark's book,
"The Accidental Genius," which will help you use writing to have strokes

* Steve Cohen's evening of close-up magic was the real reason Nerissa
and I flew to New York City and believe me, it was worth it. Steve's
energy, charm, and talents are hypnotic. I predict he will become
THE show to see in the years ahead. One of my favorite moments was
having drinks after the show with Steve, Nerissa, and Mark, and watching
Steve baffle Nerissa and I with on-the-spot close-up magic miracles.
I've seen many magicians perform---including two of the most influential
magicians in the history of magic---but what Steve did fried me and
left all other magic demonstrations in the dust. I mean it. At one
point Steve took a copy of my new book, "Spiritual Marketing,"---which
I had JUST handed to him as a gift---and riffled the pages, letting
me stop where I wanted and to pick any word I wanted. He then read
my mind and announced the exact word. I had no idea how he did it.

As you read about him, keep in mind that attaching you or your business
to something unusual---such as a playable guitar made out of matchsticks---is
a valid way to grab media attention. Maybe you can find people with
unusual hobbies and arrange to promote them, much as major companies
sponsor events for publicity.

the 2,000 copies of my Barnum book now in my garage. I was amazed
at how many people replied, and with such great ideas. I'm starting
to think all I have to do when I have a problem is post it to this
list and let you offer me answers. Anyway...
