Self-help legend Louise Hay passed away the other day, on the morning of August 30, 2017.

She was 90, and made the transition peacefully in her sleep, at her home.

She influenced millions with her books, including me.

One of the highlights of my life was having dinner with her about ten years ago.

She openly shared her life, mission, and home with me.

She said, “The more people you help, the better your life will be.”

Her first book, Heal Your Body, was privately published by her in 1976 – when she was 50 years old.

That “little blue book” went on to become a self-help classic.

She bought me dinner and we talked about everything from The Secret movie to Jerry and Esther Hicks and Abraham to Operation YES, my movement to end homelessness.

She showed interest in my life and work.

She asked questions.

She listened.

Back in her San Diego home, she gave me so many signed copies of her books that I began to feel uncomfortable.

“What’s wrong?” she asked. “Do you have a problem receiving?”

I got over it.

I opened my arms to receive more.

She was loving and lovable.

She was warm and wise.

She will live forever in her books and through her company, Hay House.

I am forever grateful to her, and will always miss her.

Thank you, Louise.

I love you.

Ao Akua,

Joe

PS – A few years ago Louise Hay’s company published the book I coauthored with Daniel Barrett, The Remembering Process, which remains a milestone in my career.

    Thank you!
I just recently bought a Mirror Work , in German Spiegel Arbeit, because I live in Berlin, Germany. It’s my way to learn the new language: read something interesting instead of the bad news. German is not my native language!
I did not only read it but also applied it in action.

This news is just so unbelievable. I can not explain. She is a wonderful person and I was hoping that I could have a possibility some day to travel to US and see her!

I listen to her meditations regurlarirly and her voice is so soothing!

She has done a lot of good and her work is still alive! Thank you, Louise!

Apparently you missed beautiful Louise Hay’s message about the joy, satisfaction and worthyness of giving.
Oprah Winfrey, Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus, Leonardo DiCaprio, Beyonce, Brene Brown, the Kardashians, sports figures, musicians and millions of people across the country are giving money, time, energy and personal resources to help those in need in wake of the devistation of Hurricane Harvey in YOUR HOME STATE.
Where are you in all of this? Writing a memoriam to Louise Hay that’s about you, as well as shamelessly promoting one of your books in the memoriam; writing blogs about yourself; promoting your products and continuing on in your tireless promotion of yourself.
Oh, and forgive me if I didnt mention your call to “love” Houston in your promotion of an audio series that, wait for it…. promotes yourself.
Lastly, I searched online to find direction from you, or direction to your charitable foundation in an effort to help the tens of thousands of people who lost literally everything this past week. . some of whom lost loved ones too… and to my shock and dismay.. you do not have a charitable Foundation, you have offered nothing up to help “others” without direct impact to your bottomline, and you have made zero effort to make a call to action to help the people, in your State, that at this time of unimaginable loss and crisis, need help the most. (For gods sakes, no clean water, food, or safe place to live other than, thank god, a shelter).
Many people left their homes without shoes on their feet, and will return to uninhabitable structures.
Apparently the real secret is, you don’t help those who don’t directly help your bottomline and at the hour of greatest need, you are absent to the suffering of others.
My deep disappointment in how you have failed to show up for Houston can only be matched by my awe and gratitude for those who reached, stretched or simply showed up selflessly to care for one-another.

Gena, your heart is in the right place. I have promoted relief for Houston on all social media, and I have created foundations to help, such as Operation YES, and I have written about the power of giving in many places and in my books. I could go on, but instead of judging without research, why not just help?

I was introduced to her work back in 1995 and loved her from that moment on. She actually reminded me of my grandmother. So many of her books are on my shelf and I refer to them frequently.

In 2002, I was introduced to your work Joe by a very dear friend. The first book I read was Spiritual Marketing. Many of your books grace my shelf as well.

    She will be missed…

I want to thank you dr. Joye Vitale, thanks to you my life changed forever. A month ago i was broken, destroyed, after broke up with girlfriend. One day i met something – i met a secret. A law of attraction, from a movie “The Secret”. I gained a book, read her first, second time. After this i just found your book about a key to secret. Firstly i was a little sceptic, but after i being read your book, i met a lot of practic knowledge. That knowledge always changed my life for better. Thank you dr. Joe Vitale, i wanna wish you happiness, a lot of health, a lot of money and a lot of next success 😀

Thank you Joe Vitale, for sharing Louise Hay from Hay house. I have been touched by her in way’s beyond measure. My favorite is 101 Power Thoughts. I learned that in life, suffering presents us with a choice, resist its lessons or learn humility.
