* New Trend: According to Melinda David, author of the radical yet inspiring new book, "The New Culture of Desire," times have changed since about 1993. There is now a new unconscious force driving human behavior in America.

Today we live in what she calls an "imaginational world." If you want to market and sell in this new era of total inner experience, you better learn how to appeal to feelings and mind states --- the mental or imaginational world.

What people want now is the big O --- not THAT O --- but the O of optimal experience, optimal living, the optimal ahhhhhhhh of the mind. Yes, people want their products and services to bring on these states. And yes, virtually any business can do it.

My favorite chapter in her challenging book is called "The Marketer as Meta-Physician." After reading it, I no longer felt strange for being a Certified Chi Kung Healer, a Certified Hypnotherapist, or the author of the #1 best- seller, "Spiritual Marketing."

Heck, I've just been a Marketing Healer unconsciously doing my part to help the masses in their quest for the bottomline of life: Bliss.

LESSON: Nerissa told me she hates selling. While she wants business from http://www.FreeVideoCoding.com she doesn't like being the salesperson for it.

I thought about her complaint. I then remembered my own answer recently on a talk show, when asked what will be the next trends online. I said I didn't know, but that I felt everything done off-line would be tried on-line. Based on that insight, I offered Nerissa a suggestion:

"What about a Virtual Sales Person?"

"A what?"

"A VSP," I replied. "There are Virtual Assistants online. They run your errands, make calls, fetch research, and so on. Well, how about a virtual sales person? They would make the sales, you would pay them a commission, and you would do the work. Win-win-wins for all."

She liked the idea but didn't know where to start.

I went to a couple Virtual Assistants and asked them if they knew of Virtual Sales People. They didn't, but loved the idea.

The next step was to find a VSP or find someone who wanted to be one. With six billion people on the planet, I figured at least one person would love to be a VSP.

Within two days we found our first VSP -- in Ireland.

Let this be a lesson to all of us: You don't have to do everything in business---and you shouldn't. Delegating is a key to success. Find people willing and able to do what you don't want to do, and pay them well. The result will be win-wins for all.

LESSON: Mail your customers a foot.

Yes, a foot.

That's what a company who wanted Nerissa's business did. She received a big package in the mail. She opened it and found a foot. Not a human foot, but a small doll-like foot.

The letter accompanying the foot said, "Will you let us get our foot in your door?"

Outrageousness works.

Here's another example: National Discount Brokers did something most people thought was stupid.

They promoted their company voice mail system where one of the options on it was nothing but the quacking of a duck.

That's right, a duck.

I still remember when a friend of mine, a CPA, emailed me about the strange email he had gotten: "Call this number and hit the 4 key." I did and what I heard was a duck.

Pretty dumb, right? Especially for a major business like National Discount Brokers. The thing is, their sales went up 75 percent. (75 percent!) Turns out that people loved the oddball stunt. They forwarded the email about the quacking --like my CPA friend did to me---to others around the world.

In short, be a little zany and you may increase sales. Try it.

* Quiz: What are the 3 greatest prosperity books of all time?

"Seed Money In Action" has stood the test of time. This forty year old little booklet has gone through 53 editions, sold 1,000,000 copies, and caused 40,000 people to write the authors praising it.

The basic message is that as you give, you will receive ten-fold in return. This ancient secret helped create millionaires throughout time, and still works today. There's a catch, of course. You have to give with a mind-set of non-judgmental expectation. When you do, you're in the flow. Most people who are broke are practicing the scarcity principle, not the seed money principle.

Then there's "The Millionaire's Mind" by two authors in a country I never heard of before last year. Two Slovenian authors wrote a book that sold out within 15 days in their country. When they came to me, I was skeptical. When I read the book, I was amazed. Here's a complete course on how to think like a wealthy person. Long, detailed, practical, and eye-opening, it continues to blow me away.

Finally there's the book I co-authored with Stuart Lichtman, called "How to Get Lots of Money For Anything Fast." Stuart is a genius. I have never met anyone like him. He has spent at least four decades studying the unconscious mind. The result is that he can pin-point where our unconscious trips us up---and show us how to correct it.

This is incredible. Where before you would set a goal and wonder why you stopped going for it, now you can discover why you stopped yourself---and remove the block. This book really describes how to "get clear", which is a key step in my popular "Spiritual Marketing" book.

If you're looking to create prosperity, I suggest you get all of the above titles. They are all e-books so you can have them instantly. They're better reading than the daily newspaper and will lead to far more profit. Read them and get rich this coming new year---if not sooner!

* Finally, what do Jews know about making money that maybe you don't?

Mark Twain once wrote, "Eighty-five percent of the great and lucrative businesses of Germany are in the hands of the Jewish race. The Jew is a money-getter."

Daniel Lapin is a businessman as well as a Rabbi. His mission has been to explain why Jews from thousands of years ago and even today have always been successful in business.

As Lapin explains, there are ten ideas, or commandments, that help Jews succeed. The "commandments" are not religious at all. And the really good news is that you and I and anyone else can live these truths, as well. Jews don't have a monopoly on how to create wealth---at least not now.

One of the things I love best about this book is that it cleans our brains of damaging concepts about money and business. Money is *not* bad. Business is *not* evil. You can imagine how hard it must be to make money when you think it's bad!

Anyone interested in a soul-freeing, mind-cleansing, profit- producing experience should read "Thou Shall Prosper."
