You never know what your words or deeds will do. I sent an article out last month called "What Are You Dismissing?" (You can read it on my mrfire.com website.)

One woman wrote me and said it may have saved her life. She had been feeling pain and basically dismissed it. But she read my article and the title haunted her. She finally decided to go to the doctor. On the way there, she began to hemorrhage .

The doctors were able to help her --- as well as the baby she was carrying.

She says the article saved her life.

REFLECTIONS: We just returned from Las Vegas , where I was hospitalized for the first time in my life.

(Asthma attack on flight there.) No fun. But after a few days of R&R, we hit the Liberace Museum and discovered that "Mr. Showmanship" was influenced by the same book as me: "The Magic of Believing" by Claude Bristol. (If you haven't read it yet, there's still time.)

And at the NAB convention, Nerissa and I were so taken by a new James Bond gadget that we got his and her models of it. It's a video recorder, audio recorder, digital camera, MP3 player , and probably cooks and washes windows, too -- all wrapped up in a small hand-held cutie about the size of a pack of smokes.

The NAB convention -- NAB meaning National Association of Broadcasters -- was insightful for at least one marketing lesson . The vast majority of booths there had no idea had to draw attention to their wares.

Only one company had any snap. Artbeats gave out large colorful bags with their name and website on them. You couldn't look anywhere without seeing someone carrying an Artbeats bag -- including us. LESSON: How can you use Hypnotic Writing to sell something intangible -- maybe for fund raising? When I was in Rome , Italy , I had lunch with Sister Mary Elizabeth, a nun who subscribes to this list. She and the Mother General, a delightful woman in charge of all the nuns around the world, wined and dined Nerissa and me. This lasted hours. It was an unforgettable experience.

When I asked what could I do for them, they said they were actually thanking me for what I had already done.

Huh?

What did I ever do for the Vatican or these nuns? Sister Mary Elizabeth explained:

"We've used your copywriting methods to write fund raising letters that have raised money to help homeless people and starving children around the world."

I had no idea.

"I've written letters and then added a PS or rewritten them , all following your teachings," Sister Mary Elizabeth explained . "I've made our fund raising letters and proposals much more hypnotic due to your ideas. We can't thank you enough."

TIP: What's a new fast way to turn a profit online? Basically, find out what this week's most popular searches are at Google. Then pick one of them and quickly generate an e-book, e-report, or even e-audio related to that subject . Put up a site and start selling. List one copy on Ebay . That's it.

Here's how it works in detail:

Go to http://www.google.com/press/zeitgeist.html and see what the hot searches are currently.

Pick one of them that you are at least somewhat curious about.
Research the subject online, compiling information about the subject. This will be your e-product. Be creative. Develop something people searching on this topic will want.
Then quickly put up a one-page website and offer your e-book for sale.
List one copy of your product on Ebay. This will get your product and site noticed right away by millions of people.

In short, you're riding the wave of the public's interest.

This is a tried and true money-making secret.

For example, on Easter a friend showed me a book of nothing but questions and answers about the movie, "The Passion of The Christ."

The book is compiled data. Yet because it ties to the current frenzy of interest in Mel Gibson's movie, the book is selling and the author is getting on national TV and radio shows.

Cindy Cashman just used this exact same idea to create two ebooks that spin-off of Donald Trump's current TV show. See http://www.CindyCashman.com Unless Trump actually trademark's the phrases, "You're hired!" and "You're fired !", Cindy is going to profit from Trump's stardom.

You can do this, too. Simply create something that ties to an existing popular search and use the above steps to jump-start your sales.

For example, one week last month one of the top searches was for "IRS." Obviously if you had information to help people deal with the IRS, you could capitalize on it. But if you didn't have any info, you could search the net for it , find an angle that is fresh, and release your own IRS product .

Another week the name " elisha cuthbert " was a top-10 search item . You could compile a directory of all the sites showing pictures of the actress, compile quotes by her, or maybe create an Elisha Cuthbert cookbook, beauty tips guide , joke book, or whatever, based on your web searches.

Or you could go contrarian and create something called "Why I Hate Elisha Cuthbert." (I don't. I think she's a great actress in the TV show '24' and I hear she's a nice person, too .)

Or you can get outrageous and create a campaign called " Elisha Cuthbert for President." Your site could sell an ebook where you offer Elisha as a candidate.

Get the idea?

Not everyone reading this newsletter will act on this tip, but those who do have a good chance of making a lot of money fast.
