NEW: Amazon has a quick and cool new search engine at http://www.A9.com Jim Edwards told me about it in one of his terrific articles. I love the tool but warn against inaccurate results. For example, I did a search on "Joe Vitale" (I had nothing else to do that night) and learned the following:

- I have a new book coming out in March, called "The Attractor Factor." (True)

- I was once in a rock band. (Wrong)

- I'm a Senator. (Wrong)

- I'm a professor. (Wrong)

- I take famous photographs. (Wrong)

- I play professional hockey. (Wrong)

- I wrote a book on flea markets. (Wrong)

Admittedly, most of the errors were in the Images section of the search results, but even the Book results showed I authored works I never wrote.

Again, anything you find on the net is suspect.

Enjoy your surfing, use Amazon's new tool for your searches, but always triple-check the results.

And sometimes your search will reveal something new. I searched on "Spiritual Marketing" and found a book I've never heard of that sounds right up my alley: "Motigraphics: The Analysis and Measurement of Human Motivations in Marketing."

I ordered it (getting a tiny discount because I used www.a9.com ) and it's on the way to me. I have no idea, yet, how it ties in to "Spiritual Marketing."

TRUMP: Yes, Donald Trump is at it again.

TREND: A subscriber told me about a new book by Paul Pearsall, called "The Beethoven Factor."

I am fascinated by it. It talks about the new Positive Psychology, and focuses on how some people don't just survive stress or trauma, but actually thrive due to it. How is that possible?

Positive Psychology focuses on why some people who do everything wrong survive and prosper, while traditional psychology focuses on people who get sick and die by doing everything wrong.

This is as important a distinction as my argument that marketing does not have to focus on pain to motivate people. (I explain this in my Hypnotic Selling Secrets

OCT 12th: The big day. The release of my colossal new home-study course, titled "Hypnotic Selling Secrets" (HSS).

So, what happened?

More than 35,000 people went to the site.

Over 10,000 registered for the event.

PERSONAL: On Oct. 2nd I lost my best friend of 27 years, my ex. Though she had suffered a long time, and was probably ready to go, I wasn't ready to let her leave.

Words can't describe the anguish of knowing I'll never talk to her, see her, or receive an email from her, ever again. Her bubbly spirit and contagious laughter are gone, except as memories in my mind. I miss her.

On the way to the memorial service for her, actor James Caan called me. It wasn't a real surprise. A client knows him.

I asked Caan for advice. He said, "Advice? You don't want advice from me. I have lots of ex-wives, and I wish some of them would trade places with your ex." Caan made me laugh, which helped. But the real healing came from you, and all your emails, letters, cards, and gifts. You helped me by reminding me of such things as...

"I am so sorry for your loss...but to tell the truth, what better passage could you have wished for her, than to take a nap and awaken to find herself in her new life?"

and...

"I have exchanged several emails with Marian after she was going to edit and word process an email book for me (as a result of your recommendation). She was the warmest and most caring person I've ever met. I'm crying to realize I won't be able to talk to her or exchange email with her again. I feel Marian is back at 'home', enjoying the Heaven with the most beautiful angels."

and...

"Although you don't know me from Adam, I do own several of your products. So, I wish you strength during this difficult time. Remember, she was on her own path as you are on yours. Be thankful for the time shared. Stay in the Now."

and...

"No matter how much we know about the other side it still hurts us on the physical side."

and...

"I'm happy for Marian. As my little niece said, at the age of about 4, 'I know what happens when people die, Mom: They go back to normal.' "

I continue to receive dozens of these emails.

I am grateful for your love, and support.

I had a dream about Marian one night. She loved make-up and was always worried about money.

In the dream she said, "It's beautiful here. I get to wear make-up and we don't use money. Talk about being in heaven."

I could imagine her smile, happiness, and childlike delight at being totally free.

Her favorite quotes were "Great Hair, Great Day" and this line from the movie "Gladiator": "What we do in life, echoes through eternity"... Her laughter, love, and kindness will remain.

Again, thank you for the flood of gushing love and warm emails about the loss of my beloved.
