What a month. More computer problems, more projects, more travels, and more books. Whew. I feel like I'm drinking too much coffee, even though I gave it up two years ago. I'm wired, and I like it. Life's a rush.

LESSON: Hypnotic commands are everywhere these days. For example --

Nerissa told me that whenever she picks up her fast food at Wendy's, the clerk now says, "See you tomorrow."

During my recent speaking engagement at the National Guild of Hypnotists, I went to lunch with friends. Two of us ordered tomato soup. When the food arrived, the waiter slid bowls of lentil soup under our noses and said, "We're out of tomato."

CONSIDER: Had a bad day lately? Compare any day of your life to that of the World War II experience of Louis Zamperini and then see how you feel.

"Zamp" went on a rescue mission during the second world war. His plane was shot down. He spent 47 days on a raft in the ocean. This once Olympic athlete weighed 65 pounds when he was rescued -- by the Japanese.

He then spent two years in prison camps. He was beaten, and subjected to medical experiments. When the war ended, he went home a hero. But his tragic experiences caused him to have night terrors and turn to drink.

Later, he went to a Billy Graham crusade. After a couple of meetings, he was saved. Not only did he forgive himself, he also forgave his captors. He actually returned to Japan -- this is amazing -- searched for his captors, found them, and forgave them. (!)

Zamperini survived it all -- and is alive today. He's 87 years old. And he loves life. His story is in the riveting book, "Devil At My Heels" (available at www.Amazon.com ).

TIP: You should know by now that testimonials are persuasive. They are your customers and clients doing your selling. I'm now experimenting with putting scanned testimonials online. RESOURCE: I'm a huge fan of Taschen's series of books called "All American Ads." These mammoth collections of rare ads, sorted by decade, are priceless.

INSIGHT: Noah St. John has a new take on affirmations. Instead of declaring "I am now wealthy," which is the traditional way to do affirmations, Noah suggests you ask the question, "Why am I now wealthy?"
