Advertising works, but usually the copy needs to be updated.

That’s hilarious…I can’t imagine what the the copy on an ad like that would be like…lol

Though I just can’t get over how hot the chick in the ad is…

    She’s hypnotic…

hmmm….maybe they don’t need updated copy…maybe they’ll buy the product based on just her looks…

Barbara Carrerra in her prime…mmm….mmm….mmmm, but I didn’t realize it was her in this ad…wow…she looks really good in it.

    http://www.go-star.com/framer/carrera.htm

“Barbara Carrera is sometimes referred to as “the most beautiful Bond girl” for her role as the mesmerizing lethal assassin “Fatima Blush” in the 1983 movie Never Say Never Again. It was a role that would earn her a Golden Globe Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress.

There’s no doubting Carrera’s stunning good looks. The movie critic Leonard Maltin once described her as a “feline, olive-skinned and almond-eyed ex-model whose cool dark looks make her ideally suited to play seductive villainesses or exotic damsels.”

    She’s a really good painter too…

    Here’s a quote from her-

“”I’ve always liked drawing faces. Eyes fascinate me. They reveal a person’s inner essence.”

    Hypnotic indeed… 😉

But as for that ad…if they were pushing that old product these days, that ad would be a death sentence…

I kind of miss the political incorrectness of yore. L

But you know ‘vintage’ is ‘in’ these days, and there are plenty of connoisseurs out there. To wit: there are tons of sites with that ad posted up…because it has that ‘something’ that keeps it alive (in this case…outrageous marketing)…

Obviously, but then I think people who are on fire are always a timeless attractor factor that leads people to search out everything they’ve done or been a part of.

Well, I take that back…maybe not a death sentence…it could be that the controversy would make it work….
