The Panoz family are fascinating.

They are passion driven people who succeed at car making and racing, wine making, spa and resort making, and more.

The only Panoz person in the above picture is Melanie, the Irish redhead to my right. She’s a hoot. She taught me to swear in Irish. (Don’t ask.)

The gent to her right is John Leveritt, one of the most wonderful people I’ve ever met. He gave us a tour of the assembly line where Panoz cars are assembled by loving hands. He also showed us unusual Panoz race cars, including a Hybrid, and a car that refuses to be photographed because of the mystical nature of its paint.

Beside me of course is Nerissa and then our friends Rick and Mary Barrett. Mary did the all day spa with Nerissa while Rick and I learned race car driving.

The thing I noticed most about the Panoz family is their passion. They trust their gut, and they take risks. Good reminders for you and me, too.

joe

Many times when you listen to your gut, you can find that your absolutely wrong. Why is that?

  2. June 19, 2007 at 8:03 pm

It may be that you didn’t listen to your gut at all, but to something else.

It may also be that your gut was right but you expected something different, so you missed the lesson.

The point isn’t about listening to your gut to be right; it’s about listening to your gut to be in tune with what’s right for you.

Your intellect is never always right; your intuition is never always right.

That’s because “right” is a judgment you make, and you aren’t wise enough (none of us are) to know what is right from the big picture perspective.

Botomline: Trust your gut and do your best and enjoy the ride.

Wow… sounds like a great time!
“They trust their gut, and they take risks.” – I think this is one of the common attributes of most or maybe even all successful people.

    Thanks Dr Vitale.
Does this mean that I should trust my gut on decisions for my benefit but not judgements on others or for what is ‘right’?

I’m still really not sure on the distinction between judgments for what is good for you as opposed to listening to your gut? I have previously tried to listen to my gut on whether to do various courses and lost a lot of money.

I am seriously considering your productivity course as it might have some answers.

By the way your blog is amazing!

    Joe,

Wow…the I’ve never heard about Panoz cars from when I come from (maybe I’m just plain ignorant). But the cars they produced are sure HOT…and only fiery passion could have led to a creation of such. Passion seems to be the fountain of all creativity and strange as it may sounds, its usually found in industries such as cars, wine, spa and even Internet Marketing! There are legions die-hard lovers in all of these…..and perhaps that’s why only those that follows the rainbow eventually found the pot of gold.

    Hi Joe,
I just watched your ‘Beyond The Attractor Factor ‘ Video on The North Star Think Tank site that you sent me to. (I Really Appreciate that, THANKS)

I’m now hoping to follow your lead, maybe even join the queue for a ‘PayNose’ myself.

I can’t stop forwarding the link to ‘North Star’ with the proviso that they watch YOUR video first and often.

    Many, Many Thanks.

    Pete.

😉 I’m intrigued by the mystical paint on the car, ” not allowing it to be photographed 😎 I love that you share your memories with us.
I’m looking forward to more of your adventures.

    Hi Joe

I can honestly say trusting my gut is becoming quite natural now. Thats how I came across the Secret and you. I received an email about the Secret, my heart said you need this girl. I bought it, couldn’t wait to watch it.

It came on the day I seemed at my lowest, watched it with my daughter Loni and was just blown away, things began to click and I have moved on quite quickly since then.

I wanted to show my uncle too, as I had told him about The Secret, unfortunately he has passed away but I’m positive he knows this secret 😉 anyway.
