I was in Warsaw and Krackow, Poland last month. I love Poland. The people are loving and generous, curious and intelligent. One of them drove me to see the Leopard sports car, a hand made limited edition roadster. (I was the first American to ever drive the car.) On the way there he asked me some terrific questions. Here are a few of them:  (Picture is from Warsaw event.)

Do you read magazines?

A few. In general, the most accurate news is going to be in books. Newspapers move too quickly to check all their facts. Magazines have a little more time to check sources but still aren’t perfect. Books take longer to research, so tend to be more reliable. My preference is for books.

How do you read so many books?

I do what I call intentional reading. I know what I want when I pick up a book, so sprint through it, looking for the facts and stories. Of course, I’m always looking for the book so hypnotically written that I want to read and savor every word of it.

What was the most difficult time of your life?

Being suicidal in college in the 1970s was no picnic. Being homeless right after that was no party.

What’s the best way to write a book?

I take the advice novelist John Steinbeck told radio comedian Fred Allen: Write whatever comes to mind. You can always edit, shuffle chapters, and rearrange pages later. Don’t force the flow. Honor it.

What’s your dream car?

The Bugatti Veyron. While I’m still waiting to receive my Scorpion (the hydrogen-gas hybrid super exotic car made in Texas), the dream car has to be the 1,000 hp Veyron.

What’s your favorite city in Poland?

Krackow. I felt it to be a healing environment.

How do you attract a person back who left you?

You don’t. You allow them free will. Instead, find inner peace within yourself and the person may sense it and want to be around it. If not, you’ll probably attract somebody more fitting.

Did you put 10,000 hours into learning?

Yes. I wanted to be a writer so intensely that I put myself through a disciplined self-study program that no college could ever match. I studied writing books, author biographies, and more. I did writing exercises. I prepared myself as a writer. Since the Internet is text driven, being a skilled writer positioned me for success. Put 10,000 hours into studying anything and you’ll stand out in that field.

What was the first book you ever wrote?

The first book was a novel. I wrote it in college. I don’t remember the title but I think the tag line was, “When you have no where else to go, you can always go mad.” It was never published.

Did you write anything else?

I wrote numerous things, from poems to plays, before I started writing nonfiction. I wrote a one-act play about writer William Saroyan and saw it produced in 1979. I didn’t make a dime from it, but it was homage to an author I loved and it has always been a highlight of my life.

I love Poland so much I’ll be going back to it for the third time in late May, 2010. (Picture is of my editors for my books in Poland. Do we look happy or what?)

    Hi Joe!
I like the new look of your blog. Tried to read the article about the changes suggested to your Mr. Fire blog – but kept being diverted to another site.

I love the products I have bought from you! I do have a problem with one MP3 download though and have been trying to figure out how to contact you or someone who can help me. Please email me and let me know the best way to do that. Thank you!

    Hello,

The print size is very small in your books, are any of them available on a CD or online such as pdf where the size can be increased?

    Thank you

    Zev

Hi Joe! I’m Polish and pleased to hear that you love Poland so much that you are planning to visit my country in May! Please note, however, that the city you’ve visited is Krakow or Cracow, not Krackow 🙂

    PS. I love your books!

    Dear Joe!
My name is Rotija Starič and I must tell you that I admire your work. I admire your generosity. Because you help people. I do not want to be ungrateful for the assistance which it considers sending over the Internet. I on the business on the Internet do not know anything yet but I know that I can all learn because 5 years ago I knew nothing ,now know much more. Last year I try to improve my financial situation and looking for a way where and how. I have read. A lot of books. I learn to change my beliefs with the help of your book-KEY. And it seems to me that I APEL in a vicious circle. Here is my story in brief!
For many years when me and my husband repeated the same things we start business on track again .and collapse and we were at the point now that we have blocked all accounts at the bank got no credit cards and operate only in cash. Both doing very hard around all day but the result is almost zero. I’m not satisfied because deep inside I know that I deserve better and I am looking for a way to find a way out of crisis as soon as possible. I tried to find work over the Internet and although I was a little scared or I can learn what is necessary is my desire and decision that I will do that. But here I encountered a closed door. I really do not have a credit card because everywhere on the Internet need a credit card. This year we lost our house ,thank God where we live even though we completely renovated it and I alone arranged a complete interiors because I sense and manual dexterity I was a bricklayer and painter and when I complete the work I lost my beautiful home. We had seven stores and now we have two difficult and barely get enough money I do have another problem. My husband I love him and I worry because he became too dependent on me when the problem just waiting for what I will do. I do however want you as a woman to protect me and my husband helped me that I feel more safe. Sometimes I feel lonely overburdened and issued. Because I want a better life now I’m working on myself. Every day I use the technique of Brad YATES EFT read books and studies.
After one month of intensive work on myself a little better feel but progress in business is no improvement ran out of money for the purchase of new merchandise and daily income is lower.
And so every day I receive many offers on the Internet for various business start and when to register and get to start now-and then offer a credit card and then everything ends – I do not have a credit card. What should I do?? Dear Joe maybe you can give me advice on what to do?? I really need help and thank for the opportunity and to respond.
    Grateful for response
    Rotija Starič

    Postscript
I wrote to you A several times And trying to tell you that, In view that I don’t have no credit cards. I would like to start a business that you give me the recommendation and would like to buy some of your fantastic CD. I have the desire, I have ability, but I do not have a credit card.

Quite frankly I only wanted to stop by and let you know that I always get such an incredibly giddy feeling inside when I read your books or listen to audios (love the hypnotizing voice!!!!). Also, what cought my attention was the fact that you like Bugatti Veyron….woohoo…something in common then! I want to own a beautiful Bugatti Veyron Chrome-what a beauty! So I might not yet have a driving licence…but I know all is on its way!
