During my recent whirlwind trip to Russia, I was heavily questioned during news conferences, book signings, and television shows. Some of the questions were about the Law of Attraction, Zero Limits, my life, and more.  They were stimulating, surprising and sometimes blunt. Here are a few of them:

In your book Zero Limits you say to ‘Kill the Divine’.  What do you mean? That’s a sin!

First, I didn’t say that; my coauthor Dr. Hew Len did. Second, there is the Divine and there is your concept of the Divine. What you want to do is kill your concept of the Divine.

What’s it like to wake up famous?

I’ve never awakened famous. I wake up hungry.

Are you creating a culture of consumerism?

Consumerism is a negative word for a positive trend. When people buy something to enrich their lives, they are showing they respect themselves. But you can poison that positive by calling it something negative, like consumerism.

You have many followers in Russia. Are you creating a cult?

I didn’t even know my books were published in Russian. I’m glad to have fans. But there’s no cult, or organized group, or even a leader. Just readers of my books.

What kind of women do you like? Did you attract any of the women here?

I love all women. I attracted every woman in the room.

Did you ever meet a UFO alien?

Yes.

What was it like?

That’s a secret.

Do you believe in astrology?

I am fascinated with Eastern Astrology, but I find it wiser to go to the source that moves the planets than to the planets.

How can anyone be happy with so much suffering in the world?

How does your unhappiness help those suffering?

Do you ever get tired of being happy all the time?

Ah…no.

If the Law of Attraction works and you can have everything you want, how come you’re fat?

I am a work in progress, just like you. While I’ve dramatically transformed my body, I’m not done with it yet. Anything you’re trying to attract but don’t have yet could be simply on the way.

Are there any new clearing tools since writing Zero Limits?

Yes. I’m inspired to say Russians are to eat or drink the Siberian berry, Sea-Buckthorn.

Many wealthy people help others. What are you doing to help others?

Many things. I give money to people and services I believe in, I started Operation YES to end homelessness, and I’m a contributor to the Circles program to end poverty.

I want to believe you but there are other books out there that say the Law of Attraction is bogus. What do I do?

You choose. The Law of Attraction is based on what you believe. If you believe it works, you’ll attract evidence to prove it works. If you believe it doesn’t work, you’ll find evidence that proves it doesn’t work. In both cases, the Law of Attraction is giving you what you believe.

I want to attract a man. How do I do that?

You clear the beliefs in you that say there aren’t enough good men out there, or you don’t deserve a man, or even you don’t feel lovable.

My man left me. How do I get him back?

You have to allow people their free will. The more you can be happy now, enjoy your life and be present, the more that person — or someone better — will come to you. But don’t target any one person.

What if what I want for me is wrong?

If you want something that makes you feel whole and happy, and helps others, it’s not likely to be wrong. But end all your requests with the phrase, “This or something better.”

What is your next book? Will it be in Russian?

My next book is Attract Money Now. It’ll be in Russian as soon as someone translates it. I’m giving it away, gratis, to the world.

I was fascinated by Russia (the little I saw of it), but I had to leave it unexpectedly and in great danger. Soon I’ll post an account of my harrowing escape.

When it comes to “the secret” to success — especially in manifesting money or using the law of attraction to attract money — few know what I do is the very thing I teach: I get clear, connect with the Divine, and act on what I receive.

Let me explain…

A few months ago I received a divinely inspired idea, complete with marketing plan. It was so sudden and so complete that I stopped everything and wrote it down. I’ve been acting on every step in it since that day.  Some of my own staff think I’m nuts to implement the idea, but virtually everyone else thinks it’s pure genius.

Here’s the idea in a nutshell:

The first leg of the plan was to write another book. I wasn’t keen on that. I’ve already written maybe thirty books, including The Attractor Factor. But I’ve learned not to argue with the Divine. So I’ve written a new law of attraction book, called Attract Money Now. The seven step formula in it was mentioned in my Nightingale-Conant audio program, The Secret to Attracting Money. But it was only mentioned. I suspected it could be turned into a whole book. So I took that tiny section and expanded it, explained it, and made it my new book, called Attract Money Now.

I then decided I would give away the book. Yes, for free. This is where some on my own staff thought I was losing focus. They feared “You won’t make any money.” I knew in my heart this was the way to go. There are numerous stories of authors who gave away the digital version of their book, who saw the hardcover version of the same book skyrocket in sales. Not enough people give away their goods due to fear. Well, I’m not afraid. Plus, Chris Anderson’s new book, FREE, proves giving is a terrific way to make money. Besides, I truly want to help people. By giving away the book, I give people access to the very formula they need to attract money now.

Then, I shot a television show about the book. I’ve been involved in numerous infomercials over the last twenty years. I could have made one for the book. Instead, I wanted to create a TV show where I gave away the ideas in the book, had some testimonials from people who have used my ideas, and then urged the viewer to go read the book, gratis, at my website. Obviously, I am paying for the air time, paying to create the show, and not making a dime from either. Still, I am following the Divine plan.

This is a real secret to success: when the ideas come, act.

Will this plan work?

Of course!

I’m honoring my heart, my passion, and the Divinely inspired marketing idea. It can’t help but work.

This is how you truly attract success:

You get out of your ego and its petty desires and instead allow the Divine to direct your way.

This is why I say I gave up intentions and now follow inspirations.

Big difference in results.

It will be two weeks before the TV show is edited into something worth airing. When it’s done, I’ll post it online so you can go watch it.

What the – ?

That kid in 1972 had no idea of the roller-coaster he was about to step on as he left High School: homelessness and poverty, confusion and desperation, anger and hurt, yet on to the nickname “Mr Fire!” and world-wide success, happiness, wealth, and fame, with thirty books (such as The Attractor Factor),  eleven movies (such as The Secret), and his own Miracles Coaching program helping thousands worldwide.

You explain it.

When people ask me how I went from nothing to something, they are looking for the magic pill answer. They want me to name the one book, or one event, or one person, or one action, that changed it all forever.

PS – Where did Joe Vitale get the name “Mr Fire!”, anyway? Back in the early 1990s I met a woman who began calling me that whenever we met. When I asked her why, she said, “You set a fire under the butt of everyone you meet. You’re always inspiring people. You’re Mistah Fire!” The name stuck, though the woman moved on. And onwards we go.

14. Read Think and Grow Rich.

15. Turn a problem into a product and sell it online.

16. Feel grateful for something you have.

17. Practice the seven steps in Attract Money Now.

18. Listen to The Secret to Attracting Money.

19. Get a Miracles Coach.

20. Pray.

21. Create a vision board of what you want.

22. Do 5 things each day on items on your vision board.

23. Ask for help.

24. Help someone else.

25. Worship time, not money. Use your time wisely.

26. Imagine what you would do if you won the lotto for $37,000,000. Do it.

27. Do whatever you are afraid to do. Wealth is hiding behind your fear.

28. Get a job. While you pursue your dream, feed yourself with work.

29.  Get clear of limiting beliefs about money.

One way to attract money or attract wealth (or attract anything else) is to practice gratitude and appreciation so you can experience transformation right now. The following true story illustrates what I mean…

Six months ago I ordered a handmade leather fanny pack from I Medici Firenze, a store in Chicago that sells goods from Florence, Italy. The item had to be specially made for me, since at the time my waist was bigger than the average fanny.

There were numerous delays, and by the time the fanny pack arrived — six months after I had ordered it — I had lost fifty pounds, including ten inches off my waist.

Obviously, the item didn’t fit. I was now too slim for it. But I didn’t think much of it and just let it go.

A few weeks ago I was back in Chicago. I decided to return to the store and thank the owner for delivering the item, even though it was six months late and no longer the right size. Still, I was grateful I got my order. I wanted to show my appreciation by making a personal appearance in her store. I wanted to say thank you.

She wasn’t there.  I wandered around, lusted over all the leather handbags, messenger bags, laptop bags, fanny packs and such, and enjoyed seeing the goods and breathing in the leather.

As I explored the store, I noticed a man’s leather jacket on a rack. It was the only one there. The store doesn’t sell clothing, so this was an oddity.

I thought it looked great, felt it and admired the softness of it, but let it be. I didn’t need a jacket. And it’s warm outside in both Chicago and Texas these days. I’d probably not wear it for a while.

But Peter Wink, my company’s vice-president of marketing, also saw the jacket. Peter’s got an eye for good clothes. He asked me to try it on. I did. To my surprise, it fit like it was tailor-made for me.

Peter, who dresses like he’s being photographed for GQ magazine every day, said the jacket looked stunning on me. He said, “There are good jackets, great jackets, and then that jacket.”

I asked for the price. It was fair. But my intuition said I could get it for less.

I asked the clerk to call the owner on the phone. He did.

I then told the owner how I only came in to thank her for the delivery of the fanny pack, how it didn’t fit, etc.  I went on to tell her about the jacket. I wondered what the lowest price for it would be.

She gave me a terrific discount and I walked out wearing that jacket.

Please note the lesson:

I didn’t go into that store to buy a jacket.

I only went in to say thank you.

I only went in to say thank you for an item that took six months to arrive and was the wrong size, but I walked out wearing one of the finest leather jackets of my life – bought at a discount.

This is the power of gratitude and appreciation.

If you want to attract money or attract wealth (or attract a cool new jacket), you need to say “thank you” all the time, for every moment, no matter how you are judging it.

The more you practice appreciation, the more you will learn how the law of attraction really works.
