My Illuminati Confession

Ever since my book, Attract Money Now, came out a few years ago, people sometimes write and ask if I am a member of the Illuminati.

The first time it happened confused me.

“Why do you think I am a member of the Illuminati?” I asked.

“Because of your belt buckle,” was the reply.

My belt buckle? Seriously?

I’m flattered that people were looking at my waistline but it also confused me.

I looked at the cover of my book and sure enough, I’m wearing a belt buckle with a symbol of a pyramid and eye.

Note the belt buckle

Note the belt buckle

The thing is, the cool looking buckle was given to me about ten years ago by a fan who wanted to congratulate me on my weight loss.

There was and is no more meaning to it.

It’s a belt buckle.

I let it go and didn’t think much more about it until…

The other day I was checking email and watching reruns of Modern Family on television when I noticed yet another person asking — this time on this blog — if I was a member of the Illuminati.

That’s when I decided to tell the truth.

“I don’t even know what the Illuminati is,” I confessed.

Since I didn’t want to look completely uninformed, and since it appears that people were talking about me being a member on some discussion forums, I asked one of my assistants to explain the Illuminati to me.

Here’s what she said:

Illuminati is about mind control and aiming towards
the New World Order in order to achieve world domination.
The Illuminati wishes to enslave the whole world in a satanic
plot for a one world government.

Illuminati feels that it is their karmic duty to "Reveal and
Conceal" -- meaning they use overt symbols in your face
without revealing what the symbols are in order to hide
their agendas while subliminally programming people's minds.

The "all seeing eye" you have on cover of The Secret to Attracting
Money audio course and the pyramid on your Attract Money Now belt
buckle are part of the symbols they commonly use.

Here's example:

Katy Perry's music video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0KSOMA3QBU0
and then here's the conspiracy theory behind the video's meaning:
http://www.prisonplanet.com/katy-perrys-dark-horse-one-big-children-friendly-tribute-to-the-illuminati.html

According to this type of paranoid thinking, virtually every celebrity or politician you name could be a member of the Illuminati.

One list includes —

  • Jay Z
  • Cypress Hill
  • Chris Brown
  • Celine Dion
  • Halley Berry
  • Eminem
  • Rick Ross
  • TB Joshua
  • Charlie Boy
  • Tonto Dikeh
  • Davido
  • Wizkid
  • P-Square Twins
  • Britney Spears
  • Aaliyah
  • Nicki Minaj
  • Beyonce Knowles
  • Alicia Keys
  • David Bowie
  • Madonna
  • Paris Hilton
  • Barack Obama
  • Aretha Franklin
  • Bob Marley
  • Angelina Jolie
  • Jim Carey
  • Bob Dylan
  • David Bowie
  • Justin Bieber
  • Kanye west
  • Marilyn Manson
  • Lady gaga
  • Lil Wayne
  • Rihanna
  • P-Diddy
  • Wiz Khalifa
  • T-pain
  • Rihanna
  • Kim Kardashian

Jim Carey?

Really?

Bob Dylan?

Seriously?

And me? Joe Vitale?

Really?

I have no interest in government (just ask my wife) and certainly not in world domination.

I can barely handle a house of cats.

Have any of these speculators actually read my books?

Rather than just looking at my belt buckle, they might actually open the book and discover what I really think.

People who believe in conspiracy theories and world domination scenarios are coming from victimhood.

They feel powerless in their life.

They want an explanation for their struggle.

Rather than take full responsibility, and move into the Empowerment stage of awakening (which is what I write about in such books as The Awakening Course and At Zero) they want to blame others.

Super stars are easy targets.

The wealthy are easy, too.

After all, they must have “something” that you and I don’t have in order to be so mega-successful.

They must all belong to some secret organization which helps all members succeed and leaves the rest of us to struggle.

Right?

Wrong.

If such an organization exists, I’ve certainly never been invited to join it.

Sometimes I think people who complain and conspire have too much time on their hands.

“People do not seem to realize that their opinion of the world is also a confession of their character.”
Ralph Waldo Emerson

Rather than spending time expressing their life mission and following their passion, they use their hours to create conspiracy theories and projected scenarios that have nothing to do with reality.

Like me and my belt buckle.

But let’s see if we can learn something here.

I did a little research of my own about the pyramid and eye on my belt buckle — the same symbol, by the way, that is on the US dollar bill.

Here’s what I learned:

That famous symbol on the US dollar bill is called The Eye of Providence. It’s sometimes interpreted as the eye of God watching over all of us.

God watching over us?

That doesn’t sound bad at all.

According to the most relied on unreliable source, Wikepedia, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eye_of_Providence, the symbol is…

“The Eye of Providence is mistaken for the Illuminati symbol. The original Illuminati symbol is actually the Owl of Minerva”

Owl of Minerva?

No, I don’t know what that is, either.

And I’m not a member of some Owl of Minerva club.

But isn’t it curious that people looking at my belt buckle and assuming it’s a clue to me being in the Illuminati, don’t even know what the actual symbol of the Illuminati is?

I’m flattered that some people think I’m so rich and powerful that I might one day help run a world domineering government.

But when I look over the above list of alleged Illuminati members, I have to confess that I’ve never even met one of them, let alone worked in secret (or even in public) with any of them.

The truth is, I’m a regular guy who has worked hard and done well writing books for a living, was lucky enough to be invited to be in the hit movie “The Secret,” watches reruns of Modern Family on TV with his spouse, writes and records self-help healing music, smokes cigars to commune with the Divine, and is learning to play the saxophone.

Of course, some people think the saxophone is The Devil’s Horn.

They probably think the sax is a clue to something.

Well, I can’t please everyone.

And neither can you.

Please focus on expressing your life mission, no matter if people condemn, understand, complain or applaud.

It’s what you’re here to do.

Ao Akua,

joe

PS — I wrote a song on my new album explaining how life is a reflection of what is in you. The song is called “Reflection.” The album is called Reflection. (Seemed like a no brainer.) It’s relevant to this blog post, as what people project about others is usually what they actually feel about themselves. Think about it…

What do you hear?

Werewolves, Rabid Dogs and E.T.

What do werewolves, rabid dogs, and extraterrestrial beings have to do with my recent Attract Money Now Live event in Austin?

I’ll give you a few “word hints” – fun, clairaudient, healer.

Okay, okay, twist my arm, here are two more – movie star, bestselling author (nope…close, but not me).

Gosh, you are really persistent (I like that).

How about Dee Wallace, perhaps best known for her role in Steven Spielberg’s hit movie, E.T. the Extra-Terrestial?

Besides being a famous Hollywood actress still active in the film industry, Dee is also a “clairaudient channel” helping thousands of people in the world heal their lives through her work today.

The incredible Dee Wallace!

The incredible Dee Wallace!

As a featured guest speaker at my event, she had us laughing out loud at times, even as everyone scrambled to take notes.

It’s not often someone can deliver such profound, life-changing information – like her simple exercise for creating more money – while keeping us entertained.

You’ll definitely want to get the DVD recordings of the event (coming soon) and watch her outstanding performance onstage. It’s not to be missed.

It isn’t hard to make simple concepts complex, but rarely do we see complex concepts made simple.

Of course, some people might argue that “creation” as a spiritual principle of energy is not complex, and maybe it’s not – but the unconscious beliefs woven throughout our life can certainly make it seem that way.

“Actually,” Dee said, “It’s as easy as loving ourselves.”

For most people, that would be the tough part. But if you want to have more money, more wealth, more health, or more of any of the good things life has to offer, you absolutely have to cross that hurdle.

When I was in poverty and homeless, my self-esteem and self-love were so low it was in the gutter. It was a vicious cycle – the more I didn’t love myself, the worse things got – the worse things got, the more I beat myself up over it.

Coming next month!

Coming next month!

And I wondered why I couldn’t manifest!

I’d look in the mirror and think, “There must be something wrong with me.”

It wasn’t until I became aware that I began to turn the corner and consciously build my self-esteem. I started to use the same mirror in a beneficial way – to look for the good about myself.

For you, that might be the color of your eyes. It might be your education, experience, or a talent. The bottom line is you’re going to have to relax the criticism and wipe away the dark perspective.

As Dee said, “Our stories define us or disempower us.”

But first, you have to be willing to hear your story, and it’s hard to escape it when you’re staring yourself down in the mirror trying to come up with something positive.

You have to look at yourself as the Divine would look at you.

The Divine, an energy field which is all love, is not going to look at you and say, “You need to change.”

Instead, it would say, “I love you, period.”

I call this energy field of love “Zero.”

Reveals the Law of Zero

Reveals the Law of Zero

I’ve revealed everything I know so far in my newest book At Zero: The Final Secret to Zero Limits (coming next month) and my brand new Nightingale-Conant audio program, The Zero Point: Entering the Realm of Limitless Possibilities (shipping now).

Zero is Source…

It is alive and currently accepting requests…but it’s also trying to send you inspiration.

Are you listening?

“Phone home.”

Almost Meeting JFK

I went to meet President John F. Kennedy in 1961.

My father worked on the railroad and got a free pass to travel by train from Ohio to Washington, D.C.

He took my mother, my new born baby sister, my two brothers, and me.

He didn’t have enough money to feed us or stay in a hotel, so the trip was a brief whirlwind tour of key points.

It included a quick walk through of the Library of Congress, where my youngest brother wandered off and was lost for what seemed like an eternity to my parents. (I didn’t care. I was in a room full of books.)

When my brother was found, my mother asked my father, “Why don’t you spank him?” (It was the 1960s, remember.)

My exhausted dad replied, “I’m too happy to see him.”

But all I cared about was the White House.

I wanted to meet JFK.

I wanted to meet him

I wanted to meet JFK

I was eight years old.

He was the first President I was conscious of, as JFK’s name was on everyone’s lips. He seemed to be the most beloved man who ever lived.

My grandparents had a plate with John F. Kennedy’s face on it, hanging on a wall. So did my parents. So did most of the nation. The only other face on our wall was Jesus.

My family seemed to like JFK because he was charming, handsome, witty, smart, and Catholic.

My fiery red-headed grandmother liked him because, as she put it, “He’s good lookin’.”

I was too young to know all the random elements of what makes a politician popular. All I knew is that everyone liked JFK.

No, they loved him.

He inspired us with now famous quotes, such as, “My fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.”

So my family went to the White House in 1961. It was a lot easier to get in there and walk through it then it is today.

I remember some nice lady giving us a short tour.

I also remember asking the question I wanted to know the answer to the most, “Where’s the President?”

JFK was a leader

JFK was a leader

The tour guide simply said, ‘He’s not here.”

I was disappointed.

I probably sulked my eight year old self all the way back to Ohio.

So it was even more devastating to hear of his assassination in 1963.

I liked JFK.

I miss him.

Ao Akua,

joe

PS – I loved JFK’s humor. He was a model of relaxed disarmament through words. Relive it here:

Disney's Secret

Years ago, Walt Disney was asked if it
ever concerned him that the brilliant
ideas being developed by his imagineers
(the term he used for his employees who
designed and built the world’s greatest
theme parks) would be leaked or stolen.

He replied, “No. We can create faster
than people can steal.”

And I’m wondering…

Can you?

Are you that confident in your ability to create?

Maybe it seems unfair to ask, given that we’re
talking about a mastermind of invention and
entertainment. But, according to the accounts
of Walt‘s life, he went through a number of
transformations.

In one article I read, besides coming from a
“highly dysfunctional” childhood, “At age 22,
Walt experienced bankruptcy after the failure
of a cartoon series in Kansas City. He headed
to Los Angeles with $40 in cash, and an
imitation-leather suitcase containing only
a shirt, two undershorts, two pairs of socks,
and some drawing materials. Feeling that others
did animation better, his goal was to be an
actor out in Hollywood. It never occurred.”

Thank God.

Where would the world be without his contributions?

More relevant, though, is where will the world be
without yours?

Have you ever really thought about it this way…
that you might have something to offer the world
of great significance?

Believe me, I didn’t always feel or act like I
had something to contribute. When I was homeless,
I certainly had no idea I’d write over 50 books,
or help thousands of people. I had no idea I would
become the world’s first self-help musician with my
own album – let alone six albums.

But here’s the thing: You don’t know what you
don’t know.

And you don’t have to…but…you do have to get out
of your own way. You have to stop looking out
there for answers to questions like:

* How do I attract money in this terrible economy?

* How do I improve my self-image?

* How do I stay positive when people around me are negative?

* How do I discover my life purpose when I don’t know what I want?

* How do I help others?

* How do I attract my love?

* What can I do when everything looks hopeless?

In a nutshell, there’s one answer to all of these:
stop waiting around.

If you want to learn to create and have the confidence to do
it again and again – the best and only way to do this that
I know for sure is through transformation.

If this sounds like a lot of, well, frankly, work, then I’ve
got good news for you…

At my event in November, I’ll be sharing my recent discovery
of the Law of Zero: “Zero” is alive.

Not only can you get inspiration from it, you can send
intentions into it – and I’ll be revealing how to do it
for the first time at the event. I’m excited because this
information goes beyond anything I’ve ever taught before.

Even better… it’s going to take you beyond anything you’ve
ever been before.

Like Walt once said, “It’s kind of fun to do the impossible.”
