Mind Dancing

Your mind is incredible.

It can lead you to happy thoughts and right actions….

Or…

…or it can lead you to dark thoughts and actions you may regret.

I call it “Mind Dancing” because that’s what it does: dance around like a monkey chasing a fly in a forest.

Obviously, you need to have better control of your mind in order to attract and achieve your goals and dreams.

You need to learn how to “lead” the mind dance.

But how?

I’ve had customers tell me the single most powerful course I’ve ever made is called “The Awakening Course.”

Go through it and you’ll have a better handle on the Mind Dance and you’ll discover methods to help you awaken from the trance of scarcity, lack, and limitation.

Hmmmmm....

PS – Skeptical? I don’t blame you. But don’t let your “Mind Dancing” talk you out of your own good. Take charge of your mind and direct it to your next step in awakening.  Consider —

Some famous spiritual leaders said (about the book version of The Awakening Course) —

“This exciting and empowering book guides one and all through the exhilarating process of awakening. Not to be missed.” — Sonia Choquette, New York Times bestselling author of The Answer Is Simple

“I love how Joe easily explains the stages of awakening and offers practical ways to experience them. This is an enlightening book.” — John Gray, author of Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus

“I know Joe Vitale and love this book.  It provides solutions to our problems by awakening to the stage above them. He’s brilliant!” — the late Debbie Ford, author of The Dark Side of the Light Chasers

Puppet of Inspiration

Sometimes I feel like “Inspiration’s Puppet.”

I feel as if I am just a stenographer for – as I called it in my book, The Secret Prayer – “The Great Something.”

I receive an idea from this “vast unknown something” and before you know it I am watching my hands move over the keyboard as the bursting concept in my head evolves into an article, post, song, or book.

But *I* had little to do with it.

All *I* said was YES.

I think we are all like that.

We get ideas and – because we have free will – we can refuse to follow them, or we can say YES and act on them.

Struggle happens when we reject the inspiration.

Success happens when we say YES to the inspiration.

Some of my greatest works were penned by me as Inspiration’s Puppet.

And they were done in record time.

I wrote my global bestselling book Zero Limits in only two weeks.

I wrote the recent manifesto The Awakened Millionaire in about three weeks.

Inspired manifesto

Inspired manifesto

But this doesn’t happen with just books.

When Guitar Monk Mathew Dixon and I enter the studio, we often don’t have any idea what we will record.

But we go in open, willing, and ready.

And out of the space we make, inspiration guides us to create such musical gems as At Zero and The Enlightenment Audio and so much more.

And it all happens pretty fast.

You can do this, too.

So, how do you make inspiration your friend?

First: Go to work.

Inspiration is a guest that does not willingly visit the lazy. ~ Pyotr Tchaikovsky

Second: Set a time.

I write when I’m inspired, and I see to it that I’m inspired at nine o’clock every morning. ~Peter De Vries

Third: Persist.

You can’t wait for inspiration. You have to go after it with a club. – Jack London

Simple, right?

Another example:

A few years ago, in late 2012, I decided that I was done with music.

But then I set an intention to write ten original songs and record them within eight weeks.

It was an “impossible” goal.

After all, I had no songs, no motivation, and no belief.

How would I pull this off?

BUT I stated a clear intention, which got my inner motors revved up, and to my own delight and surprise, songs came “out of nowhere.”

And yes, I recorded that album – all original, all by me, and all in record time.

My band for all my singer-songwriter albums

My band for all my singer-songwriter albums

That album was called Sun Will Rise.*  It and all of my singer-songwriter albums are at http://www.cdbaby.com/Artist/JoeVitale1

In a way, I “pulled” inspiration from thin air with a clear intention.

But sometimes inspiration just appears without an intention.

An example:

Back around 2010, I walked around a Rolls-Royce Phantom, the doors swung open so I could peer inside, and mumbled out loud, “That masterpiece is big enough to have meetings in it.”

Even as I said it, I sensed it was a defining moment in my life.

I bought that divine car, and as I filled out the papers for it, I was writing the sales letter in my head for what was to become the now famous Rolls-Royce Phantom Mastermind.

For the next three years I had people flying in from all over the world – Switzerland, Italy, Poland, Japan and more  – all coming to me for one reason: to sit in the car and brainstorm with me.

Celebrity fintess model Jennifer Nicole Lee was also a Phantom Rider (and ABC News filmed it)

Celebrity fitness model Jennifer Nicole Lee was also a Phantom Rider (and ABC News filmed it)

And those masterminds helped pay for the car.

(I later sold the Rolls, bought the Fisker Karma electric car that was a nightmare of problems, and then dumped it to buy a Bentley. And yes, I currently host Bentley Masterminds.)

I love inspiration.

Anyone can do this.

It takes intent, faith, action, and persistence.

But the end result is something pretty glorious.

You get to be “Inspiration’s Puppet.”

How cool is that?

Ao Akua,

joe

Imaginotions: Part One

For once there lived a young man who felt lost in the world.

He did not know what he wanted.

He felt alone and uncertain.

He had energy and good health, but his mind darted around like a puppy chasing leaves.

And then one day the young man saw a cloud that spoke.

“I know you,” said the cloud.

The boy, not used to clouds speaking, stared in silence.

“I know you,” the cloud repeated.

“I-I can’t possibly see how,” the young man replied, feeling idiotic and confused.

“I know you,” again said the cloud.

“What do you know?” the boy asked.

“I know you will follow your path, though for now you feel you have none, and I know your path will lead to greatness, happiness, satisfaction and great accomplishment.”

“I don’t know what any of that means,” said the boy.

“You will, one day,” said the cloud.

“But today? What do I do today?”

“In each life there is a path already planned,” the cloud explained. “You have free will to struggle with it and resist it, but once you give in to it and surrender to your path, all will be smooth – like clouds floating in the sky.”

“But how do I know my path?”

“It’s revealed in bite sized clues, given in each moment. Quiet your mind, relax, and tune within to the next clue.”

Then what?”

“Then follow it.”

And before the boy knew it, the cloud began to break apart and slowly disappear.

“I know you,” said the cloud as it merged with the sky.

The young man, not sure what to make of all this, went to sleep.

It would be years before he would awaken.

And even upon awakening, he wondered if it were all a dream.

Or maybe it still is?

Ao Akua,

Joe

Blame Star Wars

“You can blame Star Wars for that.”

I was talking to Guitar Monk Mathew Dixon, explaining that I see far too many people focusing on mind power and not realizing they need body power, too.

When I post pictures on Facebook or on this blog of me bending nails, bolts, steel rods and horseshoes, people often assume I’m doing it with just my mind.

I bent this horseshoe with mind directing body

I bent this horseshoe with mind directing body

While the process starts and continues with my mind, I am using my will power and mind power to direct my body to an end result: bending steel.

But why do so many people assume you can accomplish things with mind power alone?

Why do so many “New Age” types want to sit and visualize but not get up and act?

Why do so many people deceive themselves with magical thinking?

“You can blame it on Star Wars,” Mathew said.

Well, I’ve never seen a Star Wars movie.

None of them.

Or read any of the books.

To bring myself current, I watched the first film from 1977.

I nodded off several times during it.

While lines like “May the Force be with you” stood out, they were inaccurate to me.

Since “The Force” is always with you, a more accurate line would be, “May you be with the Force.”

The latter quote would remind you to align yourself with The Force.

But George Lucas didn’t ask my opinion.

“The second movie is the culprit,” Mathew explained.

The second one was the 1980 The Empire Strikes Back.

Apparently that’s the movie where a lot of things are accomplished with “Jedi mind tricks” and thought alone.

And apparently a lot of people assumed they could do the same if their mind were only stronger.

Yoda taught Jedi mind control for 800 years?

Yoda taught Jedi mind control for 800 years?

Good luck with that.

I don’t want to blame the movies, though.

The theme of “mind over matter” appears everywhere, in metaphysical literature as well as popular culture.

You’ll find it in comic books as well as bestselling books.

You’ll find it in Richard Bach’s Illusions and The Messiah’s Handbook and on television shows such as Flash and Super Girl.

Who doesn’t want to have the ability to create out of thought alone, or make things appear with a few magic words?

Who doesn’t want to have super powers?

Who doesn’t want to be Superman?

Or Superwoman?

The thing is, life doesn’t work like that.

You were given a body and a mind, and the ability to use both.

We are not brains in jars.

We are brains in bodies.

When we use both, then we can attract miracles.

But the miracles “appear” through natural means.

Even Wallace Wattles said those exact words — natural means — in his famous 1915 book, The Science of Getting Rich.

He stated that it’s the combination of mind and action that leads to attracting results.

It’s not just mind.

It’s not just body.

It’s both.

Slides of Einstein's brain. Without the body, it's just a curiosity.

Slides of Einstein's brain. Without the body, it's just a curiosity.

If I pick up a horseshoe and “will” it to bend but not actually try to bend it, I’ll just be holding a horseshoe.

Nothing will happen.

I have to add my mind – mind power, will power, belief – and direct my body to actually bend the shoe.

It’s the same with anything you want.

If you want to attract a new car (or job, or spouse, or you-name-it), you want to begin with your visualization and affirmation. You won’t even try if you don’t kick start the process with your belief.

So, it begins with mind.

But if that’s all you do, you probably won’t attract anything.

You might even become skeptical or critical.

You’ll say “This mind stuff doesn’t work!”

Of course it doesn’t – if you are only using your mind.

But add your literal action, and you begin to co-create what you want into being.

It’s still not likely that what you want will just “appear” like in a Star Wars or Harry Potter movie.

I’m not ruling magic out. I believe in magic and miracles. I also believe that we live in a “no limit” universe, where we can probably do what some would say is impossible with the right mindset and proper action.

I’m just reminding you that you have a body for a reason.

Use it to aid in the attraction of your goal.

Use it for action.

There is real magic in the world: it’s using your mind and your body to achieve a specific end goal.

For example, if I want to write a book, I don’t sit and “think it” into reality.

Instead, I use every “mind trick” I know – from visualizing to Nevillizing to The Remembering Process and more – to get my mind around the idea of what I want.

And then I start writing.

I do something.

And it’s the combination of both mind and action that leads to me being an author.

None of this is a slam against Star Wars. I’m not blaming the movies at all. I’m told the latest installment, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, is spectacular.

Just remember that movies and television shows program you, usually unconsciously and subconsciously.

Focus on solutions you can act on

Focus on solutions you can act on

Recently I watched the movie The Martian and came away from it realizing the focus was always on solutions.

It taught an “Anything can be solved” attitude.

I liked it.

And I recently saw the movie The Walk, the true story of a young man with the “impossible” dream of walking a tightrope across the World Trade towers in New York City.

And he did it.

The movie conveyed the message that virtually “anything is possible.”

I liked it, too.

Star Wars is great entertainment and it’s great fun to imagine having no limits due to mind power alone.

Just don’t think you can pay the bills with a Jedi Mind Trick.

Joe

Help Paris

As I type these words, people in Paris are traumatized by the recent surprise attacks on them, and worried about family, friends, and their future well-being.

While the world is still reeling from the effects of war, many are now bracing for something that could be worse.

As I overhear all of this, I hear an underlying victim mentality.

We’re victims of storms.

We’re victims of attacks.

We’re victims of a poorly run government.

We’re victims of gas prices, gas shortages, inflation, recession, taxes, wars, and more.

I’m going to say something unusual.

It may upset some people.

I’m hoping it will inspire you.

Here goes:

You have more power than you think.

While you may not want to stand in the path of war, you don’t have to cower under the bed, either.

As odd as it may sound, I believe that if enough of us think positive, we can create a counter storm of sorts.

We can protect ourselves and our loved ones with our thoughts.

I’ve described and proved this with the research in the back of my book, The Attractor Factor.

More than nineteen studies *proved* that when a large group of people hold positive intentions, those intentions radiate out and become reality.

I asked my readers to help stop Hurricane Rita almost ten years ago.

Rita stopped.

I asked my readers to help stop the Texas wildfires several years ago.

The fires stopped.

I asked my readers to help my dying mother several years ago.

My mother is still with us.

Together, we can do something about Paris, too.

I’m not saying ignore current reality.

I’m asking you to create a better reality.

I’m saying don’t get caught up in fear.

I’m asking you to come from faith.

Look. If you think an attack will get you or a loved one, then it’s already gotten you.

You’re living in fear.

Your life is dark, gloomy and in a cage.

The media is flawless at whipping us into fear.

So I suggest ignoring the mainstream media.

It’s not information, it’s propaganda.

That’s why it’s called “programming.”

It gets large groups of people to think negative, which of course then becomes reality.

Why can’t we do the opposite?

Why can’t we get large groups of people to think positive?

Yes, be sure to travel safely and wisely.

Yes, be sure you take care of yourself and your family.

Yes, contribute to any causes you believe in that help people who need it right now.

But also check the storehouse in your mind.

Are you living in fear, or living in trust?

Are you coming from fear, or faith?

Are you focused on the negative, or are you doing something to create a positive?

We are always at choice.

My plea is that the readers of this blog — you — will stop, breathe, and focus on love; pray, or in some positive way send out an energy that will help dissolve the fear in and around us.

I’m asking you to do this today.

As I was writing this, I was reminded of the famous Paradoxical Commandments written by Dr. Kent M. Keith.

They go like this –

“People are illogical, unreasonable, and self-centered.
Love them anyway.

“If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish ulterior motives.
Do good anyway.

“If you are successful, you will win false friends and true enemies.
Succeed anyway.

“The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow.
Do good anyway.

“Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable.
Be honest and frank anyway.

“The biggest men and women with the biggest ideas can be shot down by the smallest men and women with the smallest minds.
Think big anyway.

“People favor underdogs but follow only top dogs.
Fight for a few underdogs anyway.

“What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight.
Build anyway.

“People really need help but may attack you if you do help them.
Help people anyway.

“Give the world the best you have and you’ll get kicked in the teeth.
Give the world the best you have anyway.”

I know you may feel that thinking positive may be a waste of time.

Do it anyway.

I know you may feel that your efforts are insignificant.

Do it anyway.

I know you may wonder if group meditation will really work.

Do it anyway.

I know you may doubt if prayer will help.

Do it anyway.

Let’s create the positive future we want right now.

Let’s focus on spirit.

Let’s focus on love.

What I’m asking you to do is be happy, right now.

Smile.

Send that loving energy out, in the direction of Paris.

Intend for all to be well, for, in reality, from a spiritual view of life, all is well.

We can make a difference.

It begins with you.

And me.

Will you join me?

Ao Akua,

Joe
